Dudley Bonds was born in the year 1760 in Louisa Co., Virginia. After his marriage to Frances Meredith they removed to Newberry Co., South Carolina where in the year 1780 he started his own plantation. During the Revolutionary War Dudley served in the South Carolina militia. Dudley died at Newberry Co., South Carolina in the year 1815.
